Job description
The Line Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking menu items according to established recipes and the chef’s instructions. This role requires strong attention to detail, efficiency, and a commitment to maintaining high culinary and safety standards in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and cook dishes according to menu recipes, portion standards, and chef directives.

Organize and prep ingredients before service to ensure smooth workflow and timely execution.

Plate and present dishes in an attractive, consistent manner that meets the restaurant’s visual standards.

Monitor ingredient levels and promptly notify the chef or kitchen manager when supplies need to be restocked.

Safely operate kitchen equipment, including knives, ovens, fryers, grills, griddles, and other utensils, following all safety procedures.

Maintain a clean and sanitary workstation by regularly cleaning surfaces, utensils, and equipment.

Inspect kitchen equipment to ensure it is functioning properly and report any issues immediately.

Store ingredients according to food safety and sanitation regulations, maintaining proper temperatures and preventing cross-contamination.
